Parents
considering enrolling their child at Patricks Road are asked to check the catchment map on our website. We enrol
any children who live within this area upon proof of residency. In catchment
families can collect an enrolment pack from the school office from March of the
year prior to their child starting.
If
you reside outside this area, applications for enrolment will be taken via
email from 10 am on the first Monday of March in the year prior to
starting school. Parents are required download the expression of
interest form from the website, complete and email to outofcatchment@patricksroadss.eq.edu.au.
Forms received prior to 10am on the first Monday in March will not be
accepted. The expression of interest is not a guarantee of
enrolment. Places will be offered as a “first in first served basis” and
a confirmation email will be sent to parents within 24 business hours
confirming their number on the waitlist. As our numbers are confirmed towards
the end term 4, some prospective students may be invited to enrol.
Information
regarding Information Evenings is distributed to the local child care
centres and kindergartens and advertised in our newsletter and on our school
sign.
We
offer a Prep Information Evening towards the middle of the year. At
this evening, several of the Prep teachers and the principal will be in
attendance and will be able to give you information about the program at
Patricks Road. Information packs will be available at this time
if you have not already collected one. You will also be able to book a
time for an interview with the principal, deputy principal and/or Prep
teachers, which is for both you and your child.
A Prep
Orientation morning is held towards the end of the year. This morning
begins in the hall and children are allocated to their classes and on most
occasions, are able to meet their teacher and classmates. Uniforms are
available for order on this morning.
