Your  P & C at Patricks Road State School

As a parent at Patricks Road State School, we wish to welcome you into the community of our school. Many of you have chosen this school, in part, because of its reputation as a Caring and Sharing school community with a strong sense of commitment, passion and involvement in and for the education and well being of our children.

We are very fortunate to have a strong and friendly set of members (parents of the school, past staff and citizens from the local community) in our P&C Association. We also have a large number of dedicated parents who volunteer their time and efforts to support their P&C and their school.

Why is it important to have a P&C Association?

First and foremost, the P&C Association provides the insurance cover that allows YOU to participate in school activities… classroom activities like finger gym or outdoor activities, reading, maths or science learning. It also allows parents to accompany school excursions to assist the teachers and to share in the enjoyment of the activity.

The P&C supplements resources to enhance the school environment … through fundraising activities and grants.

The P&C Association also provides services to assist you as a parent… the tuckshop, uniform shop, OSHC and bookpack system are all run by the P&C and volunteers.

Lastly, the P&C association is able to provide input into the development of school policies and feedback into the management and running of your school .

All staff and parents of children attending this school and local citizens are entitled to be members of the P&C.

 When does our P & C Meet?

Our P & C meets in the staffroom at 7 pm on the third Monday of the month.  If you have ideas or would like to discuss something, please come along. Alternatively, you can contact the president on

What can you do?

Volunteers are ALWAYS needed:

We have need of volunteers who can make a regular (weekly or monthly) commitment to help run: The Uniform Shop, the Tuckshop or the Coffee Cart (get trained as a barista).

Any help you can provide is valued, and we will adapt to fit your needs… e.g. your gift of 1 or 2 hours of your time is appreciated … and we can welcome your toddler in most cases too (there are toys, books and colouring things at the Uniform Shop).

If you work and are unable to help out during the school year, we have several working bees during the year where we are always happy to welcome new faces.  Every pair of hands, no matter how small, is welcome.

Request for P&C Funding

All requests for P&C funding must be presented to members for approval. If you see an opportunity within our school that would benefit from P&C financial support please complete and submit this form to the P&C for consideration.
